About this tool
Switch text between UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case. Title and sentence case handle accented letters, so it works for more than English. It is handy for cleaning up headings, naming variables, or fixing text that was typed with caps lock on.
Worked example
“the quick brown fox” becomes THE QUICK BROWN FOX in upper case, The Quick Brown Fox in title case and the_quick_brown_fox in snake case. Developers use camelCase (theQuickBrownFox) for variables and kebab-case (the-quick-brown-fox) for URLs.
Common problems and fixes
- Title case capitalises small words such as “of”.
- Style guides differ on small words. Convert, then lower-case the words your style keeps small.
- Acronyms get changed.
- Sentence case lowers every letter after the first. Re-capitalise acronyms such as USA or NASA by hand.
- Accented letters look wrong.
- Upper-casing follows each language's rules, but a few letters (such as the German ß) change length. Check names before you publish.

Frequently asked questions
Does Title Case follow style guides?
It capitalises the first letter of every word. Style guides such as AP or Chicago keep small words lowercase, so check those by hand.
Does it work with accented letters?
Yes, case changes use Unicode rules, so letters such as é and ñ are handled.
What is the difference between camelCase and snake_case?
camelCase joins words and capitalises each after the first (myVariableName); snake_case joins words with underscores (my_variable_name).
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files and text are never sent anywhere.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Very large files may be slow on older phones.
