About this tool
Resize an image to exactly 1024 × 1024 pixels (square). With "keep aspect ratio" on, the image is scaled to fit inside that box without stretching; switch it off to force the exact size.
Change an image's width and height in pixels. Keep the aspect ratio to scale proportionally, or switch it off for an exact size. Save as JPG, PNG or WebP. Scaling down stays crisp; scaling up cannot add detail that is not in the original.
Tips and limits. Platforms change their recommended sizes from time to time, so check the current guidance. If the aspect ratio of your image differs from 1024:1024, keep "aspect ratio" on to avoid stretching, or crop first.
Worked example
Resizing a 4000 × 3000 photo to 1200 pixels wide with the aspect ratio kept gives 1200 × 900. Changing only one side without keeping the ratio would stretch the picture.
Common problems and fixes
- The image looks stretched.
- Turn on keep aspect ratio, or crop first so the shape matches the target.
- The image looks soft after enlarging.
- Making an image bigger cannot add detail. Use the upscale tool for a sharper result, or start from a larger original.
- The file got bigger.
- Saving as PNG or at maximum quality can increase size. Choose JPG or WebP for photos.

Frequently asked questions
Why 1024 × 1024?
This size is commonly used for square artwork and app store icons (the iOS App Store icon is 1024 × 1024).
Will my image be stretched?
Not if "keep aspect ratio" is ticked: the image is scaled to fit inside the box. Untick it for an exact, possibly stretched size.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device, so your files and text are never sent anywhere.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how often you use it.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Very large files may be slow on older phones.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, most tools keep working without a connection, because processing happens on your device.
